Hello, My forum is nearly ready to upgrade, but we are still waiting on a few modifications to some plugins including one that will retain spoiler box titles from our v4 code and make them compatible within v5. My concern is that if we upgrade to v5 without this plugin modification implemented, that all of the spoiler box titles will not be recoverable. Is this likely (or even possible)? We have used the old spoiler code extensively on our forum and do not want to see hundreds if not thousands of spoiler boxes become title-less. (For reference, our forum is ntwriters.proboards.com, and you can see some spoiler titles with boxes here) Thank you.

The existing spoilers would likely have their titles stripped upon conversion, as V5 already uses spoiler tags by the same name that do not accept any attributes.
You may want to go through your forum and place each of the titles somewhere inside their respective posts so they're not lost.

Well since as I've mentioned there's hundreds of spoiler titles that probably wouldn't be doable in the next week before the upgrade (nor would our members particularly enjoy sifting through all those posts). But upon further review on our beta forum I have noticed that if you click on the spoiler boxes there's a bit of broken code at the top of the spoiler box with what is the title currently in v4. (Example here: ntwriters.freemessageboards.com/post/2129058/thread) Would it be safe to assume that if this is how they appear in the beta forum, the spoiler titles would still appear like this when we convert the actual forum, too?

That should more than likely be the case. Worst case scenario, you can always reference that forum (it'll be around until December 31st). You also have the option to opt out of V5 until that date.
Out of curiosity, when did you make that BetaZone conversion?

Out of curiosity, when did you make that BetaZone conversion? Okay, well I suppose that will have to do for the time being. Would it be possible for someone to modify our current spoiler plugin to make those spoiler titles compatible, do you think? The coder who originally made the plugin said he might be able to do it but has apparently been quite busy with other things, so I'm just checking the viability of the request. And I believe we made the BetaZone conversion in early November. Why do you ask?

November was pretty early in BetaZone's lifespan. I would recommend doing another test conversion to make sure the content of the spoiler tags stays on those same posts. I don't recall when we added spoiler tags in, but several things have changed since November.
I'd have to get permission from the plugin creator, and even if I did I would likely have no idea where to start. Most of the plugins I've made are simple and not horribly complex. I'm not sure what kind of Javascript your current plugin employs.
