Edit or Delete Messages

I know it was never possibly in the v4, but of course v5 is an improvement, and already is so.
Why not have it so we can either edit messages in a conversation, or at least allow us to delete them? I don't want to delete a whole conversation, just selected messages

PMs/Conversations are treated like emails. You can't edit a PM once it's away any more than you can email once it's been sent. The conversation is merely a stacking of individual PMs. The same as a service like GMail stacks individual emails. However a difference does come into play since there are specific active participants in a conversation. You can't delete messages. You can however delete the conversation if you wish. Other people need to be able to continue to communicate within it though. So you are simply removing yourself.

It is possible in the future we may add these options. But not now.
