Removing Visible Sub-boards & Folder Icons

Good morning!

I have two requests for you, both have to do with removing something so I figured I might as well just request it all:

1- I'd like to not have the little Sub-boards: visible under the boards on the main page.  I don't like the way they look so I redid them on the page to look how I like them.  I'm not sure if it's an option to do it manually but I can't seem to find it.

2- I'd like to remove the folder icons from the left side of the board.  Again, it's an "I don't like the way they look" thing so if there's a plugin that disables them that'd be wonderful.

Hi kristabelle89,

1) Are you wanting to remove the sub-boards list from the boards on the main page of the forum? If so, to do this visit your admin then navigate to Themes > Layout Templates. Once there, click on the Board template, then click the 'Board List' tab. Once there, find the following on line 26:

{if $[board.sub_board]}
<p class="sub-boards">
Sub-board{if $[board.sub_board] != 1}s{/if}:
{foreach $[board.sub_board]}<a href="$[board.sub_board.href]">$[board.sub_board.name]</a>$[board.sub_board.comma] {/foreach}
</p>
{/if}

Remove this and save the changes. With that gone, the sub-boards list will not display on the home page.

2) In the same Themes > Layout Templates > Board > Board List area, find the following on line 4:

<th class="icon"></th>

and the following on line 15:

<td class="icon">$[board.icon]</td>

Remove these lines and save the changes. With these gone, the folder icon will no longer display to the left of the boards on your home page
