I've tried to find the answer myself, but after 2 hrs of searching I've given up. Can someone explain how the 'board' component works? I'm trying to make a 'roster' for one board, maybe two, using a plugin (i don't want the other admin to be able to change the numbers set, just update it), and I can't find how to put the plugin into the board's header that I want it on. All the tutorials use the global/main headers/footers, but I am trying to get it onto one board, maybe two. Also if anyone can explain what the category component is for, that'd be a HUGE help as well.

A board component is exactly like a header and footer. The only real difference is in how you specify what board(s) it is applied to. With headers and footers, you'd go to the page for that particular board, add in the code, and repeat for all boards you wanted that code on. With the plugin system, you start with the code you want, enter it into the board component, then save it. Now, when you go to manage your plugin, the 'About' tab will have a selector for which boards to apply that container to. Categories are exactly the same, only using categories instead of boards. You can even add multiple board and category components, and have them apply to separate boards or categories on your forum.
