I have a really random question - and you can say no. Is there any way that you could turn this so it was vertical down

oh god.. that would require a complete rewrite. the tables dont really support vertical lines in the center like that so something would have to be figured out for that

well all of the current lines are done using cell borders. so as I said, it would require a complete rewrite because It stores data in tiers and not individual placements.

Can a skill tree not be done from the side? I mean is there a cardinal rule or anything? Its not a bad idea for a plugin, Peter might be interested if you throw that one out in that thread in development.

It's more that most skill trees I see in game work from top down - I've thrown skill trees out in that thread. It seems to have stalled xD

Wormopolis, I am building a custom page to run my races on my forum from and would like to be able to view the bracket on that page. I tried using a display post widget but the bracket doesn't show up.

Im trying to set the page up with the banner and navigation at the top then a collapsible shoutbox followed by a members online widget and lastly a way to view the bracket. Would proboards allow you to have a tournament bracket widget? or is there a way to make one in an html box? Hmm, I may have just answered my own question! I imagine you have a html build sheet from your plug in? could that be made into a widget?

I found a great site at bracket ninja, fully and easily customizable but obviously its third party and $50 a year for them to host and store brackets or $100 lifetime. I would love to have a similar set up through the plug in and be able to show it any where.

widgets are written by proboards. so no chance of writing a new type of widget. I dont know if post keys are available when a widget is used to display them. if a key is available, then it might be able to run on custom pages.

I did some experimenting. Keys do indeed show up on custom pages that have a post with a stored key, but there is a problem. the area where the post shows up, doesnt seem to have a post id in any of its markup stating which post it is. the quote button is the only markup that has a reference, but that isnt reliable since there might not BE a quote button showing if the thread is locked or permissions dont allow posting in that thread the post is in. what we would need in order for me to make this work, would be for somewhere in one of the content divs that surround the content, some sort of reference to which post it was. and that would mean a feature request to Tim Camara
