Adding more than one Skin

I'm creating a forum as of now, and I want more than one skin; however, the majority of the skin's I'm looking at require codes to be put into the Global Header and Footer. Is there a way to make more than one skin on the same site? Or can only the default skin require coding on the Global Header/Footer, and the rest just use colors/pictures?

Usually, On V4 forums (see your's isn't V5 yet) one just gets the basic layout for their site, like side tables and a top table and the tables use the id's that will pick up the colors in each of your skins. However, it is possible to have a different layout, all different images, colors, etc.

If you tell me specifically, what things you want differently for a new skin, I can help or guide you in the right direction.

Mind you, this may be a bit more work then you care to do, considering all forums will be forced to V5 at the end of this year, provided you opted out until December. If you haven't opted out, your forum could automatically be converted to V5 any day now.
