Making A Plugin And I Need Help

Okay, I need to know how to edit a profile/mini profile throughout a code. Like Peter's Monetary System, I want something shown in the mini profile. I know how to do it throughout the Layout thingy, but how do you do it while making a plugin? Thanks for anything in advance!

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're asking how to do it from the Components tab?

A basic jQuery append() would get you started:

     $('.mini-profile').append('text');

I strongly recommend reading up on JavaScript/jQuery tutorials before tackling the creation of a plugin.

need more info. are you doing something different for each member or is it the same for everyone? will the content you add be based off something already IN the MP or does something need to be added to the template?

It's a house points system thing. I want it to show in the mini profile and main profile.

The field will, however the content within the field will be editable.

It can be done with a custom profile field, however there are a few other things that can only be added through a code

It would be helpful to know what those other things are, since everything you've mentioned so far can be accomplished more easily as a custom profile field.

Not sure on your programming abilities, so it might be very confusing if you are quite new.
