V4 News Fader 1.1.2

Hi there! You asked me to post this here.
Thank you for all the work you do around here. We absolutely love this plugin and the option to add images to it.

As of yesterday, the news feed started displaying twice. No one messed with any coding or anything that would mess up the news feed. The first display is the basic news feed, and it shows all the HTML. The second is the fader and it actually shows the HTML as it is supposed to be seen:


Also, to make things weirder not everyone sees both of them.
Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Amethyst, it looks like that problem is solved simply by moving the V4 News Fader plugin anywhere after the Yootil Library plugin in your plugin list.

Use an older version of the plugin (preferably 1.0.1). You can select an older version via the dropdown on the right of the plugin's library page.

The only drawback is the older versions do not inherit your news feed headlines as they're not available on all pages, so you have to manually specify news in the plugin instead.

This is probably obvious somewhere and I'm missing it, but for some odd reason, it only shows the first line of news and repeats that instead of going on to the next line. It's probably something I'm doing, but have you had anyone else ask about this? I've been looking and I think I might be the only one...

In Plugins > Build > V4 News Fader you can try commenting out line 70 in the Javascript component to see if it adopts your plugin order instead of moving to where the news feed is located.

Add two forward slashes in front of it like so.

//$('.container.v4news').insertAfter('#news');

Is there anyway i can move the news fader into the dynamically tabbed table but without the title bar?

    It has moved the News info into the table as id like it but it seems to be running really slow but that maybe down to my connection here.

my news feed is jumping and it seems like the whole forum jumps with it ((((
also, when the page is loading for few seconds you could see the standard News feed below this one, and then it disappears...

on the v4 plugin settings try adjusting the height of the plugin to 70px
