It can only grab what's currently on the page, so nope.

You can change your forum's news feed settings to grab the most recent threads from a specific board but that's the closest you'll get.

Your forum's news feed is enabled, but based on its current settings you haven't specified a board for it to pull thread titles from so it doesn't appear.

You can update your news feed settings in your admin area by going to Settings > News Feed.

Is it possible to change the color of the category/top bar of the News Fader V4 so that it matches the "General Discussion" category bar (pale blue) on my forum rather than the purple default?

Not a biggie, but I was hoping to alternate blue - purple - blue in the various sections.

The container includes its own class (v4news) which allows you to customize the background color of its title bar by adding a new CSS rule to the end of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet.

.v4news > .title-bar {
   background-color: #d3d2e1;
}
