You added the selectors, but you didn't add any properties to them. Hence, the code does nothing.

thepride.boards.net
Brian. I need to edit the news line of text. I have just 2 lines.
1st: Welcome to The Pride - Please be Respectful, courteous & polite- do not break forum rules
2nd: 2013 memberships target is 25,000 - currently at 26,633
The text that I change 2-3 times a week is the current membership total.
I go to: admin > Plugin > manage > then clicked v4 when opens on "Settings" it fails to move onto anything else Just see my cut & Paste
Loading... Save Changes Rate this plugin, Click Here!
I need to change 26,633 to 26,774
Brian I too wish to thank you for this plugin and the ease of installation from the plugin library all brilliant for dummies like me.

Moda: If you're still having this issue, try clearing your browser's cache. It sounds like something is going wrong with the page load. Mike: Nope. This plugin is meant to directly emulate the V4 news fader as closely as possible, and that's it.

I prefer it the way that it is anyway Brian - because it's working a treat for my spotlight section, taking it away from the side bars has improved the thumbnail choices immensely. So thank you for making this, much appreciated by me!

Hi, Brian. Is it possible to have this plugin's settings like your sidebar one where you can enable and disable each container as they are needed?

Brian Possible to separate the global width of forum from news fader width? Changing the <table width="###"> to pixels in plugin build header doesn't take an effect. Do I have to change the properties for div.container.v4news and/or div.content.pad-all maybe? Is it safe or I break this way other layouts? Sorry for a lot of questions, but one kind simple answer can cover them all!P.S. Preview how it sticks out atm! Thanks in advance. Login out... END

The news fader isn't meant to contain as much intricate information as the sidebars by design, as it's just flashing text I realize that. But certain things like welcoming a new member and birthdays are things I use, then remove, then use again. It would just save time to simply change the name and enable. It was just a thought.

You don't need to do anything to the $[news] variable. It's unaffected by any of the changes you make in regards to this plugin.

Question? When you first click on the forum and see the news fader the word "unidentified" comes up and then the two things I have in the templates. After that it doesn't appear again? Is this because I at this point have no news lines in the settings of the plugin? Also if I want it to be seen by members only should I add this line at the top? {if $[current_user.is_member]} If this isn't correct can you tell me how? That's correct. Since there's no lines in your news fader yet, the array that holds the news items is never declared, so it shows up as undefined when the browser looks for it. If you're doing that in either the layout templates or the plugin's build page, you should be able to surround it with that, as well as a closing {/if} at the end and it should work.

Hello BrianSeems that this does not work for me (members only) with what I have: {if $[current_user.is_member]}<span id="newest-user" style="display: none;"><font style="color: #c0c0c0; font-size: 17px; font-weight: bold;">Welcome To Our Newest Member , $[newest_user]!</font></span> <span id="last-thread" style="display: none;"><font style="color: #c0c0c0; font-size: 17px; font-weight: bold;">Last Updated Thread: $[last_updated_thread]</font></span> <script type="text/javascript"> fContent.push(document.getElementById('last-thread').innerHTML); fContent.push(document.getElementById('newest-user').innerHTML); </script> {/if}I'm sure I've done something wrong. Would you please advise on what may be the problem please?
