Countdown Plugin [library support]

I don't do this type of "coding" with any regularity at all, I'm just a non-technical guy trying to Mod a forum. Where precisely should I expect to insert your code to get this Countdown to work?

It really depends on your purpose. Is this in a post? Is it in a header? I wrote it where you could use it in different places.

You don't need to know how to code, you just need to know how to format the calling entry

Well, I'd like it to be in a header I suppose and displayed on each page. So, do I follow a path such as this: Layout Template --> Board tab --> Header and then insert the html?

Using that navigation, my first 2 lines look like this:
{if $[board.sub_board_list]}
<countdown class="countdown" title="Kickoff" timestamp="August 31 2013 2:00 PM -6" message="custom message here"/>

I simply copied/pasted one of the sample code lines directly into the Board tab. What I have here in the layout template is not working.

that {if} in front of it is going to make it where it only shows on boards with sub-boards. is that the intent?
the countdown html looks correct however.

is this on a URL I can see?

Just noticed something: I input the changes in my default browser Chrome and after your help it's working fine there. But it's not displaying in IE. Anyone with any ideas there?

Yeah, probably an internal setting here. Other users on various versions of IE are able to see it. I'm not gonna worry about it.

Wormo, so I think I asked the wrong question... I put the line found in the plugin's instructions at the bottom of the Home template but nothing appears. It's because I'm not familiar with CSS and don't know how to format it exactly... help? Thanks
