Can this code be made 'v5' compatable, please?

This code will allow each user to select an ethical alignment in their
profile, which will then be displayed in their mini profile. An
alignment scale will also be displayed in each user's mini profile.
There are a total of nine different alignments and the code provides a
link to a short wikipedia paragraph describing each of the alignments.

No editing is required.

You don't need a code. There is a wonderful option to add fields in your profile and you can set it so members and staff with power can select from a drop down or a tick box (several options there too). That is if I'm understanding everything you want.

Just go to: 
Admin > Members > Custom Profile Fields

Name the Field Name like Ethical Alignment

Then select the type you want (drop down, radio buttons, check boxes).
Then select who can change them. (You'll need to give them the powers so they'll need to be in a group, I believe)
Next click on the View/Edit and you can add all your selections: (Lawful Good, Neutral Good, etc.)

Underneath that are options to modify member ranks, to add avatars, to add reserved names, to ban members, and to email members.

None of those options contain anything about custom profile fields. Can you direct me, please?

Didn't miss it, p????lq?n?. You'll see I quoted that above. The problem is that there is no way to access it, at least not that I can see.

If you are not the main admin, then this means you do not have the powers/abilities to edit that. You will need to ask the forum owner/admin to assign you these powers.

Sorry, I assumed you were the main admin and had the powers. Also, I never use the Admin Map but rather the drop down and it will only show if you have permissions so that is where I got confused. Sorry about that. So you'll need to do as Stinky666 said and get those permissions added.

Thanks to both of you. I am the main admin. I can see the custom profile option using the dropdown as suggested. However a helper with global powers cannot see it. Not a big problem, altho it would be convenient if the helper could have all powers as before.

All you need to do is go through your member's groups (especially staff), and look at, and check/uncheck what powers they should or shouldn't have.

Admin > Members > Member Groups
You should see it say Group Name, Type, Colors, Leaders, etc. At the very end is "Powers". Click the Edit button for each individual group to assign/change powers.

Thank you, Stinky. I had clicked on global, but didn't do the step of Edit to go down the list and assign powers.

It's all working the way it should now. Thanks to you both for the help & for figuring out what I was missing.
