I hope I'm posting this in the right place; ran a search of this and found nothing. I'm also still getting used to v5... Back in v4, there was this HTML Tables thread which was SUPER helpful. I was wondering if anyone could 'translate' these into tables that can be added to a theme's layout template? The only reason I'm really asking this is because I use the Basic Box to put the credits for my theme designs in and it's not really working anymore Cheers in advanced!

I take it you want to add this information into a sidetable? If this is the case, you will need to import a plugin first and add your html content into the plugin itself. If you already have a sidetable, which one are you using? Providing a link would help to narrow things down a little, and also html hasn't changed for v5 so it doesn't need reformatting, but where you put html has. hope this helped

Nope, not using side tables. Literally just an HTML table in Global Footers (that's what it would have been in v4). Forum linkI think I could place the box in the forum's headers and footers but would that go over into this theme that I then export?

I've looked through each and every plugin and templates on the list, which is why I made this thread The dynamically tabbed table is far too complex for the little box I want to achieve; the box I want to put doesn't even have a title bar. It's literally some words with the forum's background colour and border around it, and right at the bottom (just above the Proboards links). On this forum, right at the bottom and just above the 'Click here to make this board ad-free', is a little box with the theme details. That's what I want to add.

oh then yes, the same piece of coding that you found in the Basic box should work just fine, adding it to your headers if you want it at the top or footers for the bottom. Sorry i must of misread you to begin with.

You could try this in the bottom of your main header footer You can change lightblue to any html colour You can also change the font size and colour of your text <center><table style="background-color:lightblue;"> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><font color="#000000"> TABLE WITH BACKGROUND COLOUR AND TEXT <br>ADD MORE TEXT HERE </font></font></center></td> </tr> </table></center>

But if I put the table in the forum's headers and footers, and then export the theme, that table isn't going to be exported with it as well is it?

Hi, You could always Go admin - layout Template - Home And put it the code at the bottom - Remember you can always click on preview To preview how it looks - Before saving any changes to your template Steve

I've tried that but it just displays the text under the info center. No box, not even the center alignment either. I've added it to the template of the forum and left it there so you can see what's happening: bsonicd5.boards.net/

Thanks so much to everyone for the effort you gave to help me reach a solution, really appreciate it!
