Yes. I just downloaded the new version from the library, too. And it's working beautifully. ®i©hie, I love this plugin. Thank you.

It started OK when I first logged in this morning but the pop-up has stopped popping up, and not just for me.

No, I've been off line for a while, won't be going back on line just yet.

Will it alert again, if you've read your PMs, but didn't answer them ~ and more come in?

Yikes, @ritab, that would not be good. Maybe I need to go back to the original version which was fine for me. It did pop up, even if I didn't respond to a PM right away.

ok, it won't alert again until you do one of those 2 things. What would that be ®i©hie? it should re-alert you after you either: 1) reply to a pm. 2) send a "new" pm to someone. would it help to have a message show in the header above the inbox stating what they would need to do to have the plugin re-alert them? Will it alert again, if you've read your PMs, but didn't answer them ~ and more come in? no, proboards only allows a key's value to be set by a user interaction. so in order to have it re-alert you after reading a pm, the key would have to be set when you click on a pm from your inbox. that sound good? to see what the key's value is, enter this into the address bar on the forum and hit "ENTER": javascript:alert(proboards.plugin.key('newpmalert_rjm').get());you'll be alerted with one of the following: undefined - key hasn't been set yet. no - key is set not to re-alert you. yes - key is set to re-alert you.

®i©hie, you're first version wasn't like that, correct? I may go back to that if it wasn't. I never had a problem with it. I can sometimes go days without answering PMs. They're usually board friends that keep up a running conversation. So answering right away isn't necessary.

Ah, my bad. That sounds perfect. I always click on my PMs and read them. It's the answering part that I'm bad at! I can click on a PM to reset the key.

I know that's addressed to Rita, but that's an excellent idea. My members won't know the fine ins and outs of keys, etc. A message in the header would definitely help.

Erm, erm - I don't even know what keys are for let alone what they do! LOL I do know they play an important role as far as plugins are concerned! I did get a pop up earlier but it was for a PM I had sent! I've just logged into my forum, the pop-up has worked for one PM but it was sent to me 11 hours ago I've been online since then. I had an email notification of a PM too, but no notification on the forum. The pop-up only showed I had one message not two. I think I will disabled this plugin until the PM system has settled down.
