the monetary plugin stores all of its own data in its own key. and I cant manipulate how the data is structured. if you take away money it can only be done from the main account because of that. It might be possible to show how much money an alter has made based on the post count however.. unless you have some sort of complicated setup where a bunch of different boards earn all sorts of different values.

Thank you for taking time to respond. If I were able to show money an alter has made based on post count, would that be a count of all the money the character has ever made, or would that reflect changes made to the money on the user's main account?

well if money is based off post count, it would be easy to just add in something that also converts the posts to money. just a footer script to run after the alter MP is made to add in a money line

Is there a way to make it so that when you quote the alter, it has that alter's picture and display name instead of the actual user's name? :/

Yeah I started on that at one point , but I didn't have enough knowledge to get it to work correctly. I think I might be able to pull that off now though

Hello,

I am having trouble using the alters plugin. Sometimes I am able to create an alter and other times I am not. The main trouble as assigning the alter users forum name as it brings up no search results. I can sometimes get my name showing up, but other than that it doesn't work to well.

If it helps, I've got all of these installed;

- Alters Expansion
- Alters
- Alters Companion
- Custom Mini Profile Background (Not related to alters)

Am I missing something or is the order incorrect. That is the current order for the plugins I've currently got installed.

if you are having search result issues, your forum needs to be re-indexed. just make a thread in the support area for one of the admins to run a re-index on your forum.

What does re-indexing the forum do? Will I lose any data?

nope. it just fixes the part of your forum that affects searching for members and posts

It happens from time to time. its supposed to re-index automatically on certain events, but it can get stuck and requires a kick from the admins to start it up again.

Ah, ok. Makes sense.

I've made the thread now. How long does it typically take to have an admin attend to it. I'm not entirely in a rush to have the problem fixed, but i wouldn't want it to take long. Not because I don't want to wait, but only because I have a tendency to being impatient when waiting for something. I cannot control that though, lol.

They dont get to the office until 9AM PST

I created Alters, but it was based off two codes written in v4 (Alias by Eton and Choose RPG character by Ross).
