She uses the full editor reply. And when she makes a new thread it still does not increase.

she is the only member that is being affected? do you know what browser she uses? can she try it with a different browser to rule that out?

I have been through the code a dozen times and cant seem to find how it would prevent someone unless their key permissions were off. we might have to call upon the wisdom of Tim Camara to give a clue

Can they set their own status on their alter?

I'm not sure which browser she uses, I'll ask her though and see if she can try another. I thought it was quite strange as well. She's the only person that has said anything/that I've noticed being affected, yes.

I know she has the power to set their own alter status, but I don't believe she's ever changed anything, it's usually me.

I'll update after she responds about her browser.



edit: she hasn't responded yet, but I know that she uses her phone a lot to make replies. (not sure if it's always or sometimes, I asked.) She uses the browser on her phone when she does that, and not the app.
Do you think perhaps it could be the mobile browser settings that's interfering somehow?

All right, she's unable to get to a computer. She only uses her phones browser.

She was able to successfully edit the alter, and modify the post count.

I have an android, I'm going to try to make a post with an alter..
The only way to use alters is to go into Desktop Mode.
When I make a post with my phone, in desktop mode, my alters count does not go up.
I'm assuming that's her problem as well, and why no one else is having this issue on my site. No one else uses their phone to make replies.


But, on my computer I have no problems.

Is there any way to sort posts by each alter? And does anyone know how many characters can be stored? My game's got at least 60, and if we introduce another 20... :/

Alter data is held by a key on each post, so there isnt a way to sort out only Alter posts. How many it stores is dependant on how much info each Alter holds. There is a total space of 64000 text characters. there is also an extension plugin that will double your space. and if necessary, I can get you a second extension.

There was one forum using this that had over 100 Alters after using both extensions

I assume then, there is no known fix right now for the alters not working on a phone right now?

the mobile app doesnt run ANY plugins. if they use the desktop mode on their phone, then alters should run.
