You should be able to add an embedded video to the top of your forum very easily, just use the embed code from YouTube (or other sites), it should look something like this:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qLGxubfC1Ik" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This may just be me being stupid and not knowing coding well etc but the fact that says iframe, and I didn't think we could use iframes...? |

As far as I'm aware, the only restriction on iframes is that you can't put a ProBoards forum in an iframe. Using iframes in a forum should be just fine.

This isn't working for me, The video doesn't show up but it does widen the space of where the video should be.

I don't see where you tried to add it? I tried to add it in the Main Header, but I had to get rid of it since my website is going to go public very soon today and if I have this huge space on my forums it wouldn't look to good for a person(s) first opinion on my forum. So instead of that I added some thing similar in the footer and added a website on the bottom so it's on the main page (Free Realms: www.freerealms.com) this way members on my forum can log into the game my forum is made for. (I don't own the game, we're just a fan-site). It other words, it seems to be working with other websites such as other forums; gaming websites, but it doesn't work for Youtube videos or any other type of video. |
