hello there! So I have this plugin installed on my board here: dualityrp.boards.net/There appears to be an issue with one of my pages where I used the plugin. It causes a long running script error. For the sake of clarity, I didn't use a template that involves the plugin on this page, but I did practice with it. I deleted the template after experimenting. This is the only page I used it on, which I'm thinking is why the error is only happening there. I disabled each plugin one by one and determined it was the style tags. I'd still like to use the plugin, so I was hoping someone could help me and try to figure out what the problem is.

And posting the template in question would be helpful as well. Just giving a link to a forum homepage does not help me help you.

I have this plugin installed on the board here: fiveclansfate.proboards.comWe've had it for well over a year now, and only encountered issues with it recently. Yesterday after posting two code heavy posts, the site was unable to fully load the pages those codes were on. It made it impossible to load Recent Posts, and in my support thread here, a member ran a console test, pointing out that a js file was loading a bit slowly. Here's one of the posts that was causing us problems: [div style="text-align:center;"][font size="1"] [/font][/div][div align="center"][div style="width:250px;text-align:justify;padding:10px;"][div align="center"][div style="width:250px;text-align:justify;padding-top:5px;padding-bottom:5px;"][div style="text-align:left;"][div style="text-align:justify;"][div style="text-align:left;"]

[span style="font-family:julius sans one;"][font color="#81b3ec"]INTRODUCTION[/font][/span] [/div][div style="text-align:center;"][div style="text-align:left;"][font face="arial" color="#b3b3b3"] [div style="text-align:justify;"][i][span style="font-size:x-small;"]I'm no expert on character creation, but I [/span][span style="font-size:x-small;"]do [/span][/i][span style="font-size:x-small;"][i]have a lot of experience of finding myself "stuck" when it comes to making characters. Personality traits? Fatal flaws? Faceclaims? History? It can be a bit daunting, and I know a lot of people find biography-writing to be the most boring process ever and just want to get to roleplaying as soon as they can. So... I'm putting this here for myself, if ever I am writing a bio and get stuck in the future, or for anyone else who may find themselves in the same spot! If anyone has anything they would like me to add to this guide, please let me know! So, here you go! A lot of this is based on my own personal process of coming up with ideas for characters. <3 [/i] [/span][/div][/font][/div][hr][/div][font][font face="trebuchet ms"][div style="text-align:left;"][span style="font-family:Verdana, Arial;"][font size="1" face="Julius Sans One"] [font color="#81b3ec"]NAMES[/font][/font][/span][/div][/font][/font][div style="text-align:left;"] [div style="text-align:justify;"][font style="font-family:arial;" size="1"][font style="color:rgb(179, 179, 179);" size="x-small;"][font face="arial" style="vertical-align:sub;"]Names are a fairly important aspect to your character and they can say all sorts of things about what your character looks like and who they are. Considering the limitless combinations of prefixes and suffixes at your disposal, your cat could be named [/font][i style="font-family:arial;font-size:x-small;"]anything[/i][font size="1" style="font-family:arial;"]. Names usually reflect the appearance of the character, but they can also be named after a cat who died, or a trait that their parent wishes them to possess. Cats can also be named for their circumstances at birth, such as Stormkit and Oak-kit being named for the storm that occurred the night they were born and the oak their mother took shelter in. Names are fun to play with, and it's good to take into account how they sound when you say them out loud. If a name is a bit of a mouthful, like Nightningalemountain or Kingfisherchaser, you [/font][i style="font-family:arial;font-size:x-small;"]might [/i][font style="font-family:arial;" size="1"]want to try and avoid it, hehe.[/font] Taken and claimed names can be found [a href="https://fiveclansfate.proboards.com/thread/627/names"]here[/a]!
[/font][font color="#bb3232"]NOTE: [spoiler]These are not confirmed prefixes or suffixes for this site. This is just a compilation of potential ideas, and some may not be suitable for our setting on Fate. I will [img src="//storage.proboards.com/7039339/images/FHPaJxyKriKppRGJvirI.png" alt="cross" style="max-width:100%;" class="smile"] out any that are confirmed to be unacceptable here! If you are going to borrow any of my character creation ideas, please use your own discretion in deciding whether you think something is realistic or not. Thank you! If you aren't sure a name will be acceptable or not, ask on the Discord for second opinions. <3[/spoiler][/font]

These are cisgender (term explained below!) males and females. While they make up the bulk of the character pool, you are perfectly allowed to make trans and nonbinary characters on Fate! You will first have to buy the alternate identity/orientation item [a href="https://fiveclansfate.proboards.com/thread/7288/fate-emporium"]here[/a], though. If you are going to make a non-cisgender character, however, bear in mind that not all other characters will respect their identity and attitudes towards LGBT+ character vary Clan to Clan. [i]Also [/i]if you are not trans or nonbinary yourself, please be respectful and make sure you know what you're doing when making a non-cisgender character.

[b]AMAB. [/b]Assigned male at birth.
[b]Cisgender. [/b]This is a word that refers to anyone who identifies as what they were assigned at birth. It's just a way to reference anyone or any character who is "not trans or nonbinary".
[b]Gender. [/b]Classifying a character as male, female, or other.
[b]Gender expression. [/b]How one expresses oneself with regard to gender stereotypes. For example, a character can be feminine but still identify as male, or masculine and identify as female.
[b]Genderfluid. [/b]Someone whose identity isn't wholly fixed. They might fluctuate between wanting to be referred to as male, or being referred to as female, or neither. An example of a genderfluid character can be seen in [a href="https://fiveclansfate.proboards.com/thread/8598/butterfly-floats-on-breeze-tribe"]Butterfly[/a]!
[b]Nonbinary. [/b]An umbrella term that refers to anyone that identifies as anything other than male or female. It can also be considered an identity in itself. A nonbinary person is typically referred to by singular they/them pronouns. (i.e They love their family.) Other, more unusual pronouns may be preferred, too. An example of a nonbinary character can be seen in [a href="https://fiveclansfate.proboards.com/thread/9280/fogcloud-rainclan"]Fogcloud[/a]!
[b]Pronouns. [/b]Words used to refer to the identity of a character, such as he/him for males and she/her for females, etc.
[b]Sex. [/b]What makes up a character's [i]*cough* [/i]physiology. Used to make a distinction between cats who are capable of carrying kits or not, regardless of identity.
[b]Transgender. [/b]Someone who identifies as the opposite gender to the one they were assigned at birth.[/span][/div][/font][/div] [hr][/div][/font] [font face="Julius Sans One" size="1"][font color="#81b3ec"]SEXUALITY[/font][/font] [div style="text-align:center;"][div style="text-align:left;"][font face="arial" color="#b3b3b3"] [div style="text-align:justify;"][span style="font-size:x-small;"]You don't really [i]need [/i]to slap a label on your character right off the bat. You can play them for a bit, see who they romantically click with, and then make a decision. If you do want to have a non-straight character, you'll have to buy the [a href="https://fiveclansfate.proboards.com/thread/7288/fate-emporium"]alternate orientation[/a] item in the shop.
[b]Note: [/b]Romantic attraction and sexual attraction are normally the same thing for most cats. Sometimes, that is not the case, hence why I included romantic attraction in this list. A character may be asexual biromantic, or heterosexual aromantic, go buck wild, it's [i]your[/i] character. x'D

Descended from ancient SkyClan, these cats are built for jumping and climbing, well-adapted to their rocky mountain and hillside landscape. Cats here are highly bonded to their Clan, there is a strong sense of community values. Physically, cats here tend to be long-legged, with strong back legs for jumping and long tails for balance.[/font]
[b style="font-size:x-small;"][font color="#81b3ec"]RAINCLAN.[/font][/b][b style="color:rgb(179, 179, 179);font-size:x-small;"] [/b][font size="1"][font color="#b3b3b3"]The fishers of the valley. RainClan have an appreciation for beauty and love to decorate their dens with feathers and stones. They appreciate beautiful cats, too, there tends to be a bit of a beauty standard. They prefer to pursue peace, but will stand their ground if provoked. RainClan cats tend to have shiny coats due to their diet of fish, and are excellent swimmers. Their fur is a consistency that repels water, and some kits have even been known to be born with webbed paws, making them better swimmers. [/font]
[b][font color="#81b3ec"]NIGHTCLAN.[/font] [/b][font color="#b3b3b3"]The cats of the dark. Extremely proud of their Clan, they tend to view their own cats as superior to all others. NightClan is a matriarchy, with she-cats being more respected and held to higher regard than toms. Apprentices tend to be intensively trained. NightClan views outsiders with great disdain, and are the least likely Clan to accept loners. There is a big emphasis on kindling a stronger generation to inherit the Clan, so pairings are normally strategic rather than sentimental. The goal is the breed the best of the best for the best. NightClan is the only Clan to be nocturnal, choosing to sleep during the day and perform most activities at night.[/font]
[b][font color="#81b3ec"]TREECLAN.[/font][/b][b style="color:rgb(179, 179, 179);"] [/b][font color="#b3b3b3"]TreeClan hold a strong moral code that is somewhat based on the laws of the Warrior code, but deviates from it also. They tend to make their own situational judgements and are willing to break the rules if that is what they view as right. They dwell in the thick deciduous forests, and are excellent at hunting in thick foliage. They prefer to avoid bloodshed, but are hardy fighters when called to it. They are respectful towards cats with disabilities and are known for always attempting to give a cat a chance at training to be a warrior first. Sentimental by nature, pairings are typically formed out of love.[/font]
[b][font color="#81b3ec"]LIGHTNINGCLAN.[/font][/b][b style="color:rgb(179, 179, 179);"] [/b][font color="#b3b3b3"]The fleet-footed cats of the moor, quick as lightning. These cats are unusual for their use of tunnelling skills as well as above-ground hunting. They are known to use speed to their advantage in battle, striking quickly and retreating before a full-scale retaliation can be mounted, so they can strike again with the element of surprise on their side. They tend to be somewhat paranoid when it comes to invasion, and have a "attack first, ask questions later" attitude towards intruders. They have a very open attitude towards outsiders and preach loyalty to the Clan above all else. They also tend to be extremely excepting of cats with alternate identities, known for having plenty of gay and bisexual members. [/font]
[b][font color="#81b3ec"]TRIBE OF FORGOTTEN WATERS.[/font][/b][b style="color:rgb(179, 179, 179);"] [/b][font color="#b3b3b3"]The Tribe are different from the Clans in more than just their ranking system. They have a friendly attitude towards other cats and don't understand why the Clans find themselves so often locked in war. They are an extremely tight-knit community split into two distinct groups, the Cave-guards and the Prey-hunters. Both groups are dedicated to providing for their Tribe, but resentment can sometimes foster within one group for the other. The Tribe is much smaller than the Clans, which results in a somewhat negative attitude towards couples that cannot produce kits. Polygamy is very common, it's not unusual to see a cat here with multiple mates.[/font]
[b][font color="#81b3ec"]LONERS. [/font][/b][font color="#b3b3b3"]Anything goes with these cats. They can be from the valley, or beyond. They mostly reside in the mountains surrounding the Clan territories. They could be wanderers who move from place to place, struggling to sustain themselves. They could also have a dedicated den, or be part of a small group. However, life alone in the mountains can be brutal. There is often a "kill or be killed" attitude here, and with Demon lurking around, the life of a loner is frequently tinged with fear.[/font][/font][/font][b style="vertical-align:sub;font-family:arial;color:rgb(179, 179, 179);"] [/b][/div][font face="Julius Sans One" size="1"][font color="#81b3ec"] [/font][/font][hr][font face="Julius Sans One" size="1"][font color="#81b3ec"] FACECLAIM[/font][/font] [div style="text-align:center;"][div style="text-align:left;"][font color="#b3b3b3" face="arial"] [div style="text-align:justify;"][span style="font-size:x-small;"]Now, there are a [i]lot [/i]of different kinds of cats out there.

I have a template code created by the very talented Kuroya of THQ & GS that works perfectly on the thread I put it on to store it until I was ready to use it, but now that I am ready to use it, it is broken everywhere except that thread. Here is the link to the thread it works on: atotw.proboards.com/thread/141/who-template?page=1&scrollTo=1208and here is the link to another thread (in the same board) where it doesn't work: atotw.proboards.com/thread/364/census-fourth-ageI have checked and rechecked the code, and I don't think it is the issue because I tried moving a working post instead of copying or quoting it and moving it broke it the same way it broke when I copy/pasted. My tests: *When I copy and paste the code from the non working thread onto a reply to the working thread, it works. * When I copy and paste the code that works onto the non working thread as a reply, it doesn't work. * When I move a post from the thread that works to ANY other thread, new or merging it, it no longer works. * When I first noticed the issue I tried updating to the newest version of the style plug in to see if that would fix it, but it didn't. I am at a total loss as to why the posting template would only work on that one thread. I'm not sure if it is an issue with the plug in or something else. Any and all help appreciated!

The second page does not have any [newclass] tag BBcode in it at all. Did you copy from a preview editor on the other post? You should be copying from the BBcode tab..

How did you get your profile to look like that? And flip around? Is that a plug in?

I'd suggest disabling the vdice replacer plugin DETAILS:It looks like a vdice replacer plugin has taken liberties and modified the native array prototype causing the style plugin to encounter an error when it tries iterating over an array (not expecting this new property) Array.prototype.cleanvcustom = function() { for (var i = 0; i < this.length; i++) { deleteValue=''; if (this[i] == deleteValue) { this.splice(i, 1); i--; } } return this; };
The line of code in the style plugin where the error occurs is item.classList.add(values[j]); when j gets the value of 'cleanvcustom' going through the for..in loop. StylePost.prototype.doStyle = function(item){ if(style_tag.regex.attr.test(item.innerHTML)){ var current_html = item.innerHTML; var result = style_tag.regex.attr.exec(current_html); while(result != null){ var attr = result[1]; var value = result[2]; if(attr == "class"){ if(value.indexOf(" ") === -1){ item.classList.add(value); } else { var values = value.split(" "); for(var j in values){ item.classList.add(values[j]); /* ERROR !! */ } } } else { if(attr == "style"){ value = value.replace(style_tag.regex.bad,""); } item.setAttribute(attr, value); } current_html = current_html.replace(style_tag.regex.attr,""); result = style_tag.regex.attr.exec(current_html); } item.innerHTML = current_html; } };
