regular users/guests dont even see the post

Hi Wormpoolis,

When I try to create a thread in the specified Board (which has the quarantine option on), there is no option to create a new thread.
How does a regular user create a new thread, but not be available until an approved member (admin) approves it?

I dont get what you mean? this plugin doesnt stop anyone from making threads. if your button is missing, its from something else.

Wormopolis, I think, if I understand this correctly, what they want is to have certain boards where all new threads are automatically quarantined, until the admin approves them.

Sort of a combination between the post choke and the quarantine.

In looking at the arrays, there isn't a way to quarantine all members (I don't know if staff is included) in this no new thread bit. At least no instructions on how to do it.

You can get all guests, or certain members, but I don't see a way to target all members. Unless I'm missing something and that is entirely possible!

well.. you could set a rule for anyone with less then 1000000 posts.. that will likely get most people

True enough. I think that's what they were trying to figure out anyway.

you could do the ridiculously high post count and then manually exclude the staff members if you wanted.

although, looking at the code logic.. what happens if you leave post count blank and members array blank? does it not encompass everyone then?

Near as I can tell, no.

I left the members alone, left the count empty and had it SHOW the banner, so I could see what happened and nothing happened. The thread was created and there was no banner.

I will see what I can do, but m worried adding in something will destroy the rest of the logic that IS working.. the already mentioned way should get them though

Needless to say that worries me too. That's why I like to keep older versions on hand, just in case.

Yes, as indicated, I'll try the ridiculously high post count and manually exclude (admins) to see if that works. Sounds like it would.

I gave it a try, and entered into the post count 1000000. I still can't create a new thread as a regular user.
