Quarantine does not hide any buttons. Either another plugin is doing it, your template is missing it, or you have that board setup with restricted permissions

I modified the settings for the particular board and now a regular user can create a thread. But it's not being quarantined. I tried it with post count at 1000000 and post count empty.

I have to go back to the test board then. unless users are using mobile it should have caught the post.

Hello Wormopolis,
Earlier today I downloaded the plugin and it's companion and then set a quarantine rule to catch and quarantine the initial post of guests and new members.
I left things under "Key Settings" as is, didn't touch anything there.
Under the tab "quarantine rules" I did not add any specific members but left it as is, because I want to quarantine the first post of all new members. I left the "Under Post Count" field blank. And then I selected all the boards that members and guests can access. There are a couple that can only be accessed by staff so I did not select those.
I did not select "New Threads Only" because sometimes new members and guests post in already existing threads. I selected three administrators, including myself, to approve quarantined posts.
I selected "Suppress Banner".
I didn't touch anything under "General Settings"
I saved it, then logged out and logged back in under a new member name I set up for that purpose and tested it. It worked. I then logged out and tested it as a guest. It worked.
I then logged back in as myself, and shortly after a new member joined and posted, and of course their post was quarantined just as it should. I approved it.
But then I replied to another member's post, not a new member, and my post was quarantined, and of course I can't approve my own posts. I noticed it because the notification popped up. So just to be sure, I logged out and looked for it as a guest and of course couldn't see it.
I've just done a second test post, in case the plugin was only catching the first one I did after installing it, but no it caught the second one as well.
And that it definitely shouldn't be doing, because the post count field is blank.
What have I done wrong?

okay, I've got an update. It just quarantined a member's post and that particular member is not new, she's done 179 posts. But it hasn't quarantined anybody else and several of the regular members posted just before and just after her.

I'm going to have to uninstall it for the time being because it's started quarantining everybody's posts.
I'm not so sure now that it is something I did because at first it worked fine, but it's steadily getting worse and is now affecting everyone.

I'm using firefox, if I get a chance, I'll try IE and see if there's a difference...
btw - I changed my avatar, since many people are using "no avatar" and my comments may get confused with others.
Wormopolis, let me know if you find anything. Thanks for the help,

roland999If you only want the first post quarantined, then set the under post count to 1 leaving the field blank is really only for when you have a specific members name chosen. Which is weird because coindustries is basically trying to get that very thing to happen, except on new threads

Wormopolis, IE and FF no difference.
But, here's something interesting. When I create a post as "admin", then the quarentine notice is displayed.....

coindustries5106I finally sat down and tinkered with it. I set up a rule for all members under 1000000 posts to be quarantined and tested that first. everyone was caught. as admin, you should see everyone's banner along with a "approve" button. if you hover the banner, it tells you why the post was quarantined. so then I modified that rule to only be on new threads. tested it again, and only new threads were quarantined and all replies were passed. I may have asked before, but what are your key permissions set to? read should be set to everyone, and write should be set to members and staff. also, if you have multiple themes, make sure somehow the plugin permissions (on the plugin manage page) has all the themes selected, and EVERYONE can view the plugin.

Hi Wormopolis,
I tried out the change, and it looks and works great! Thank You,
Just a minor question, as my board grows, it may become harder to manage the quarentines. Do you have suggestions on how I could search for a list of pending quarentined threads?
Thanks again, it looks great!

I manually quarantined a post, and hit the refresh button, but nothing happened and I don't know what I did wrong. Can some one help me? P.S. Along with that, does the -1 post count thing set the rule to everyone on the forum?
