So currently there's being some spam issues and I've not seen this as a feature or requested so if it is either of those forgive me - but is there anyway once a post has been reported it's hidden from view of everyone but the staff team can see the post, preferably if it appears 'collapsed' with the words Post has been reported on it - will make mock up if need be. Avatar and stuff here | Spammy post here that rather than showing the full post info should read just -Post reported- | Next Avatar and stuff | Next post here |
Something a bit like that

Reported posts can only be seen by the Admin and those members you give that power to in the Member Group Power page. It's under the Admin Section of that page. Third from the bottom in that section.

I meant the reported post in the board itself. When a post is reported its still visible to everyone else on the board in the board environment.
Say for example a spammer had put a rude post up. And one of the members reported it.
I'd much rather the post ON the forum in view of everyone including joe bloggs public get hidden or 'censored' until a member of staff can get on to CHECK the reported posts in admin panel.

I might be able to make this a function of Quarantine plugin, but I have to make sure I can capture the report event first

That would be great, Wormopolis. I've no need to quarantine my members posts. We don't have problems like that. But hiding a reported post would be a good thing.

It's literally so I can make sure if either of the staff team on site are offline reported posts get hidden from view.
Thanks Wormo btw!

Quarantine hides the contents of the post and replaces it with a banner that says post is under review (or whatever you want it to say). it will stay that way until someone with authority to approve the post clicks the button.

there isnt currently a way to bind to the "report" event that I can find. I have requested an event watch for when it happens. I can bind to the "report post" link in the options menu, but if they hit the cancel button for the reason dialogue that comes up, the post remains hidden. I need to be able to latch to the ACTUAL event in order to make this work

This seems like it would be really easy to abuse, e.g., reporting posts when the admin is offline just to confuse/troll people.

I have to trust my members not to waste time with such matters, it's more so if a guest spammer comes on and I'm offline or sleeping and no one else is online to handle members have some way of getting the stuff off public view - and I'd rather have to deal with 'fake' reports (And if need be discipline those who are abusing the feature) then to feel like I have to stay up until my global mod gets online to keep an eye out. Seeming as nothing can be done to block proxy spammers.
