The Admin Note IS the '$[post.edited.reason]', mess with that and you mess with the Admin Note, so there's not a lot I can do about it I'm afraid.
To use the Admin Note plugin you can't make any changes to the post edit reason in your templates.. Sorry.

Todge OK then if David can know how the plugin works with the $[post.edited.reason] he may can change the template mode to make it work with the plugin? The hidden staff edit plugin didn't interfere with your plugin but like I said the reason I didn't like it is because it hid staff edited posts from staff as well as regular members. I have asked this before and the author of the hidden staff edits seems to have just disappeared and it's wanting someone else to make another hidden staff edit plugin. For a possible later thought could a plugin be made to work with the $[post.edited.reason] that hides staff edits from regular members and has the admin note combined into one plugin? Thanks I'm not sure what you mean... The Admin Note plugin uses the edit reason to as the Admin Note.. If you remove the edit reason from non-staff then they will no longer see the admin note either.

I'm afraid not, the Admin not and the Edit Reason are one and the same.
Because the Admin Note is a plugin, and uses the Edit Reason field as storage, anything added to that will overwrite the Edit Reason, and there's not enough available space in the field to support both. Sorry.
The only other way would be to recreate the plugin using a key, but I purposely avoided using a key the first time around, or possibly hide the Admin Note in the post itself, but then it leaves it open for deletion or editing by the member if they know what they're doing.

Hello there.
I quite like this plugin, but I would like it to display the person who made the edit reason. I would like it to display the editor's name, and if possible, the color their display name is.
I have looked through the code of 1.0.3, but I can't seem to find what I might be able to change.
Thanks, Trev

The problem there is storage. I'd need to save your display name, username and ID to make it workable, as an example of size, if I was to store the details for you, it would take up at least 35 characters, and with only 150 characters available, that's a sizeable chunk of space used up, and there may be members with even longer names to deal with.

TodgeWhen I modify a post, add a note, and save it, then go to re-edit it again, the note is removed upon loading the re-editing screen. It's supposed to keep the reason around permanently unless staff specifically change it, right?

Do you haver any other plugin that effect the posting page?

TodgeYes, a few. They aren't public ones, though, but rather ones made for my site specifically. I will disable all the plugins I can think of that affect the page and see if the issue persists, and go from there :) Okay, I disabled post templates by Peter, thread title limit by... I forget who, might've been you... post outfits by Peter, and word counter by Chris. That's all the plugins that I think affect the posting page. The issue does unfortunately appear to persist

What browser are you using? I ask because some browsers have separate settings for Web Storage and Cookies.
