www.december.com/html/spec/color4.htmlI would like to use the colors from that site. When I apply it though they don't work.I use the # and I tried it with just the FF00CC to no avail. Will v5 not take these?

V5 will definitely take hex color codes. Where are you adding them? Not to imply you're doing something wrong, just really odd that they aren't working for you.
I just added the one you posted with no # sign and it showed. One thing to be careful of is using the letter O or the number 0. In your case use the number.

I agree with kman. Leave the "#" symbol off. If you are changing the colors in the style sheet, you need the #. If you are adding the color in the Visual Editor, it adds the #. No need to enter it. From my experience though, if you do add it, it strips it away anyway. Edit: Also, when you enter the color by number in the CSS Visual Editor, hit enter after entering the number. Seems simple enough you would not expect that to be what is going on, but I know I have done it more times than I would want to admit.
