Info Banner 0.1.0-beta (current release)

This plugin allows you to add messages or alerts for your members to see. The banner can be permanently fixed to the page, or a dismissible alert.

Feature Requests:
- Support for hypertext and rich text (links, formatting, etc) (issue closed v0.0.2-alpha)
- Height options.
- Target audiences: Guests, members, staff.
- Target audiences: Member groups.

Bugs:
- Firefox not displaying links.
- No transparency option for background colour. (Waiting on fix from ProBoards)

- Fixed: Firefox-specific bug causing banner to not display links in banner text.
- Update: Unclear help text for animate setting rewritten to clarify function.
- Update: In compliance with change to ProBoards Plugin Policy, plugin source no longer minified. (Previous version also unminified, but change not recorded in versioning.)

- Support for custom banner heights added. Heights are in pixels.

Version 0.0.2-alpha is released. Info banners now support links using basic UBBC and UBBC2 formats ([a] and [url]).

Hey I would like to use this banner, I can't seem to figure out how to stop it from covering info in my header.. Any ideas New at this sorry if I am a pest

If the banner is dismissible, it will cover the top 20 pixels of your forum until dismissed. If it is not dismissible, it should push your forum down 20 pixels so as not to cover anything. I haven't been able to test this extensively in many browsers though. (However it looks like you are using Chrome, which is what I developed it in.) Can you re-enable the banner on your forum so I can see the issue?

RedBassett - I love the idea of a dismissible announcement vs. the global message I am using now. Will this show on mobile?

spiffshine: Plugins aren't run on the mobile site, so it will not show there. This isn't something I can control.

Images are currently not accepted. Banners are intended to be small bits of text that don't have a lot of content to make them much larger. If you would like image support, let me know and I can consider the feature.

Links can be added using BBCode like posts.

I like this idea. Added couple of things to the feature requests above.

And they are now entered into my bug/feature tracker!
