Repeating 1st post of a thread on every page

I am looking for a plug in that I can add to a specific category that causes the 1st post of a thread to repeat at the top of every page after that.

For its purpose I would need it to work only on specific categories with in the forum but every thread within that board and sub boards within would have this feature.

Is anyone out there able to help?

I'm afraid that that's not possible. The data would need to be available on every page of the thread for the code to access..

Other ways around it would be to use sessionStorage to hold the post content, and display it on each subsequent page, but that would require visiting the first page to acquire the data, in other words, you could not go directly to the last page of a thread and see the original post. Or you could quote the first post in each reply and use a code to hide said quote, but that would require manipulation of the WYSIWYG editor that is way beyond me.

This would probably be best as a feature request to add the first post to template data so it could be shown there.
