Display Name Change

What I'm wanting is a plugin that allows certain member ranks to beable to change their display name only a certain number of times. For a better explanation...


User A, We'll call Bob. Bob wants to change his Display Name from Bob to Jeffery.

As a basic "Visitor"(new person) He has 0 Name Changes... However, when he reaches, say, the 3rd rank, he'll beable to change his name 1 time.

After he uses that name change, he can no longer change his name until he gets more name changes;

Bob then becomes rank 5 and gains 2 more rank changes.(However, if he never used the first one, he now has 3)
and so on and so forth;

Settings Changeable:
Default Name Changes: #
Ranks to Gain NC: x,y,z....
Amount of NC for each different: a,b,c

By basic posting? Its the actual member ranks

ok. just checking. I wasnt sure if it was something where you "award" them with a rank or something. The only way I can see this working is by using a user-key. one that stores how many tries they have left and monitors what their posting rank currently is. if the posting rank changes, it instantly adds to the tries.

more importantly though, how do you want to handle someone making a mistake? like they use one of their tries, but mis-spell it somehow.

Then they would be-able to ask a member of staff to correct it

Yes, that would be nice lol; and just a question; uh...How would I use this plugin if it requires a Super-Key and I have no means of purchasing a Super-Key?

not a super key. just a regular user-key. since the only one that really needs to deal with how many tries they have left is themselves. if you want MORE then just the user to have access to that number, THEN we have to use a superuser key


and unless you have used them already, your forum starts with 2 super keys

Oh okay, but even so; I have no means of obtaining a user key, so How would I even beable to use this plugin if it were made?

your forum starts out with 10 regular keys (user/post/thread/conversation) and 2 superuser keys. also 40 plugin slots.

Oh lol okay, I didnt know that lol It doesnt specify anywhere in the Admin plugin section except for "You are allowed up to 10 keys. "

if you go to "upgrade" it will get you to memory management. where it shows everything you have available.

Okay, and Will you be taking on my request? or do you have someone in mind for doing this?
