Show 'x' number of recent status' in a div

Just installed and enabled it, its in the left floating sidebar in Status Updates section and its showing up blank am I missing something?

Can you explain the key setting permissions like what does the Read thingy do?

Edit edit: I think I figured that out so another question any chance it would be able to show the username links in usergroup colours?

name colors arent stored by group-id CSS. its actually not stored at all. the only way to get the name color, would be to scan the page to see if the name exists and extract color from that. then it would have to store the hex code for that color. the more it stores, the less it can store total. if the function to retrieve member data based on a user-id goes through then it wont be so bad.. but its going to start heading towards storing entire mini profiles for each entry. storing the avatar url was already costly enough because some avatars are hosted with annoyingly long pathnames. so Im going to say its possible to do, but not worth the effort for storing name colors.

as for key permissions, it needs to stay on members and staff for read and write unless you only want staff to be able to use it. now you can do custom settings based on groups, but remember it has to be able to read and write with the same permissions in order to do the storage.

and no. it wont be able to retrieve status from before the plugin was installed. storage wasnt present then.

One last question - as I almost have it skinned to look how I want, is it possible to have some way of adding a border to the bottom. So each status messagey thing is seperated at the bottom by a dashed line

Yeah CSS can do that but nothing currently has any class names to it. This was just for you to see the basic concept

That works - I got a rough thing going without class names, the only thing that I can't do is the border underneath!

Edit: found a possible issue. If someone else has the same avatar (all staff members have the same avatar) it doesn't show an avatar at all

No, they show normally for everyone else. It just seems to be when Alpha (my account) has a status up and one of the staff follows because we all use the same avatar

As I'm really bad at explaining as well which probably doesn't help have a screenshot ^
Anyway I know the only other thing is that the avatar is the 'default' avatar on SHIELD and is linked to externally so it shows as the same link which is the only thing I can think of.

For some reason there's absolutely no url or image for Epsilon even though there is for everyone else

I pull avatar from proboards.data, so if they don't have an avatar set in their profile it stays blank. I'm not sure if default avatars are in data but I will look

Okaylies as that was the only other option - I can test this theory by posting off the two bot accounts that use default avatar if you want?

default avatars are stored so I can make it an option to have it either use default avatar or make it blank if they dont have one set.
