Show 'x' number of recent status' in a div

I'd love for a plugin to be built where if you put say something like

<div id="status"></div> somewhere (Even in a sidetable!) it'd show the last x amount of status' in this type format

[avatar][name]:[status here]

I know there used to be something like this but is this possible?

can you elaborate? atre you wanting to show a certain users last X statuses? for example, show your last 5 status messages? don't think that'd be possible to show what status someone had before their current one, unless they were stored in a user key?

What I mean is say: Alpha updated their status to I like waffles
Barton updated their status to: Cheese is awesome
Tasha updated their status to: I hate idots

So when different members update their status the div displays the recent ones, as new ones get put up old ones get 'bumped' off

not until there is a new global key would this be possible. data has to be stored somewhere if it isnt already supposed to be on the page. if you used a superuser key, then that person's name has to already be on the page in order to access the keydata. there is a feature request for a "forum key" in the works that would be globally accessible at all times, but it isnt ready yet.
