Photo Gallery

I'm looking for something like Todge's Member Gallery but I need to be able to implement it in separate sub boards so that each thread created there will be a photo gallery. I want members to be able to post comments in the threads after the photo gallery portion.

The plugin is going to be used to create galleries of different actor/actress photoshoots for the TV show Once Upon a Time
We have a category for each actor/actress and then a sub board each for Movie, TV, and Photo-shoot.

You could probably get the plugin to work in subboards, but there's no way to allow people other than those that post the images, to comment on them.

The problem is storage.

The plugin changes the layout of a normal thread, so any comments added to it would go to the end of the thread, and not after the image you may want to comment on, and once the thread spans more than one page, those comments would be out of reach, so there's simply no way re-order the posts. The only other way would be to use remote storage, which is beyond the realms of javascript.

What you are asking is, in theory, possible. But it would take someone to code it in a language such as PHP or similar.

I guess what I am looking for is the first post to be the gallery part and the rest of the thread to be normal

pebble, you are probably aware, but in that demo site you just linked, if you click the post it loads the photobucket account of the "i" image

Mmmmm...... Actually I hadn't! Cheers Wormopolis for pointing that out. I'd never clicked there when the instructions were showing   Only when there was an image there! I'll fix it tomorrow.

very cool and i'll be using it loads.


The instructions are simple for those who know, but so is fixing a helicopter ..... thats about the only let down.

its perfect for 3 of my sites because they're advertising forums, and it makes it simple and cool to look at the products they're advertising.

If you could make it a button option in the post/edit boxes so people dont have to do the [postgaley] stuff id be happy to use it as a main feature for the advertisers on my sites ... ill be using it anyways, but this would just put the cherry on the cake for an allmost perfect plugin .... which is still brilliant btw
