Hi, 
I just had some questions regarding some of the current plugins that are available. 
1. Is there a way to update the version of the plugin automatically that will not cause all settings to be put in again and manual redistribution of coins having to be done? (Monetary system)
2. I have been having issues with the sidebar redux plugin lately and I am not sure if it is supposed to be that way. Everything displays correctly but if you were to go back in later to update the information in the content boxes to something more current, you cannot actually type and edit the original text that was in the box without copying it and pasting it into something like notepad. Should it not work either way??

1. No. and there probably wont be an automatic one. there are plans for a notification system for when new versions are available so that admin can choose to upgrade or not. this is better since there might be times where an upgrade introduces a major bug and kills the code. Tim Camara is currently working on a solution for retaining plugin settings, but I dont know the status of that project.

2. You might want to post in the support thread for that plugin itself so that the author is notified of your issue better

In regards to #1...

You shouldn't need to delete the key data (quote: "manual redistribution of coins"). Only thing you would need to do, is enter all your settings again. There is a way to do this with my export / import bookmarklet, but it's not 100% guaranteed to import every setting correctly. You can try it by looking at the first post of the Monetary System.

How far away is push notifications for plugin updates?

I can't wait for that, means I can drop a lot of code from 2 of my plugins that handle update checking.
