I would love this. Most competitor (paid) softwares actually have an ability to comment on status updates posted by other people.

also is there an option to give u alert when someone comments on ur status or when someone posts on your profile?

so to get an alert is impossible?

also when a new status is posted  anyway to keep a certain amount of old ones so u can keep commenting on it if you are

no. when a new status is submitted, it clears out all the comments.

I dont know on the options yet. its still in development. the option to comment on a blank status will be added. any other suggestions are welcome.

Plz make it so the comments don't go away, actually i want it to where its just for profile comments, not for commenting on statuses

you need to understand something first. there isnt infinite storage here. if it doesnt get cleared out when the status gets changed, then, for example:

every comment uses... lets say 50 characters (average). the plugin holds 4000. you would get 80 comments. if they were short comments, longer comments you get less.. and then thats it. they would stop. no more. unless you started manually deleting them. if you started auto-deleting them.. then if one comment was commenting on another comment, it wouldnt make sense.

that is why I had it delete comments when the status was changed. it was housekeeping. if I put in an option to not have it clear, then if anyone asks why they cant comment anymore on a filled up page I run the risk of my eyes popping out of my skull from rolling them too hard...

it already IS using a plugin key. thats where the 4K of storage is coming from.

if you want unlimited storage ability for members to make comments about other members, start a thread with their name as the subject. then people can post as much as they want.

but this plugin doesnt have that luxury. like I said... you cant have facebook squeezed into a plugin.
