Static Side Bar Help

Okay so Im not sure if ive posted this in the right place...but here goes.

Ive recently started attempting to transfer my current site skin over to v5. The static side bar seems to work ok in v5 however there's an error in chrome, where the bar doesn't show at all. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I double-checked in both Firefox and Chrome and the left sidebar seems to be working fine on the test forum. Did you fix it?

No ive not fixed it and ive double checked it on my chrome and it still doesnt appear to be working for me. It flashes once then disappears? It could be an error on my chrome, but im not convinced it is, i'll see if i can get second opinions if others are having the same error. k

I'm certainly seeing a sidebar (and was back when N A T posted too. Can you try an incognito window to view the forum?

What do you mean by incognito window?
Ive asked another person who uses chrome and they have reported the same thing as me. I can see the static sidebar in chrome for a moment, until the page loads fully then the entire sidebar vanishes. Im not getting this error in IE or Firefox though, just chrome?

Slayer, I see you're using a copy of Firefox as opposed to Google Chrome.

Your version of "Incognito mode" would be a Private Browsing window, which loads web pages without any cookie or cache data and with extensions disabled. It's sometimes used as a tool for debugging or troubleshooting, so it's possible you'll see the forum as we do in this mode.

ive tried the forum joininourcrusade.proboards.com/
in chrome in the incognito mode and the side bar is still vanishing after the forum fully loads. Is it to do with my browser or is it a coding issue?

Another member on my forum is having the same problem.

Just wanted to say, it is disappearing for me as well in Chrome. I tested it on my V5 site and it doesn't disappear but I'm afraid I'm not sure what is causing it, but did want to confirm it isn't just you. Does it happen on any other themes?

For me it only disappears on chrome, Ive asked the other person who it happens to to please state what browser. Waiting on a response. Its odd because it does it on my test site as well, so im wondering if ive coded it wrong, or if its clashing with something else on the site?

You should try disabling your plug-ins one by one to rule them out. I'm not sure if you are using a theme someone else created but a second step might be to create a bare bones new theme and see if it does it there.
