No codes work in my global footer?

Please help.  I've tried numerous codes for various purposes in my global footer.  The first one I used (to change the time stamps to the actual times, as opposed to the X hours ago) worked fine, but since then, nothing is working.  I've tried to change the smileys, tried to take off the disable smiley box, tried to move the smiley box to the side...nothing works.

Any clues?

A link to your forum is always a good thing to provide but since you didn't, is your forum still v4.5 or V5?

If V5 most codes you find in the data base won't work. Many things on V5 are achievable without codes and others you'll need a plug-in.

If V4.5 some of the codes were messed up when Proboards Support converted to V5 so if you'll link me to your site and the code you are trying to use and have it in your headers/footers we can see why they aren't working. Let's just take one or two things at a time and get them working.

I *think* it's V5? I only put up the site about a month ago.

ETA:  Ignore me!  It's V5, and I need to be using Plugins, not codes.  D'oh!  Thanks anyhow.
