I really like this plug in and I use Peter's different banner plug in with it so that I can customize the logo to match each background.

Can you improve the plugin slightly by allowing multiple boards to be selected for each background?

Unless I'm missing something, it seems that only one board can be selected per background, which means users must use a background repeatedly in order to use it on multiple boards.

Richie, I am trying to use a widget that seems to conflict with plug ins. One of the plug ins is your different background per board plug in.

I was wondering if you could look at both codes to see why its conflicting. The widget makes your plug in not work on that one board. Your plug in still works on other boards though. Its weird.

I tried this widget in the Peekaboo side bar and found that it made that plug in not work as well. So, when I noticed that it made a second plug in not work, I realized that it was conflicting.

Anyway, can you possible take a look at it? Let me know and I can send you the widget code so you can see it and maybe figure out why it makes various plug in not work.

blc - Could you give me a link to the widget ( or PM it to me ), or post the widget code. I thought I'd fixed the Peekaboos to work with all widgets, but maybe not

Different Background prevented me from seeing text and from seeing the spaces for typing such things as the subject.
Is it possible for the different background to have an opening that would allow for the text to be visible (on the different background)?
Would a support person please reply?

I changed my theme. Now the dark colors of the different background do not interfere or cover up the text fields/text areas.

It would help to know how to specify the Board in which a background image is to be displayed, and how to enter the URL of the image, itself.  Usually, a script contains a "URL of the image" string within the "a href" (or whatever the language uses), and an example identifier of the thing to be modified.  I see neither as a clue as to how to tailor the code.  Since I would want different background images displayed for at least two dozen Boards, I would expect to see an array of some type, or (as in previous PB versions) have a couple of the plug-in (header/footer script) in each desired Board.

This type of plig-in is exactly what I need to restore the appearance of my Forum to its former 'glory'.

the plugin settings themselves are pretty explanatory. what exactly are you having trouble with?

Hi ®i©hie this works well thanks but it goes back to the normal forum background when drafting a reply to a post or creating a new post. Is this standard behaviour for the plugin or is it something to do with my particular forum, code etc?
