Global Header News Area?

I wanted to add a Side panel to my board for adding news and updates, and putting the Login section in a small box...sadly, the layout I have doesn't seem to do that.

Is there anyway to use a Global Header code to ad 2-3 sections to the top of the forum, underneath the banner, and be able to put content in them like Scroll boxes, login location, staff information, those kindof things.

Assuming you mean by the layout, you mean you converted to V5 and no longer have side tables. You can add side tables, if you haven't found them already by going to our plug-in library:

You can also view the plug-ins by going to your admin panel > plug-ins >plug-in library.

There are the peekaboos that open if you hover over a side tab and there are a couple plug-ins for simple side tables. One is called, "ProBoards Sidebar Plugin" and the other is the "Sidebar Redux by Brian Ordonez".

I don't think there is a plug-in for a top table but you could add one via your global headers or if you want it in a certain place other than where it places the table when adding it to your header, we could go the route of adding a table to your template. Let us know if you need help with that.

Edit: By the way, In v5 when you go into the Headers and Footers section of your Admin Panel you can click into any of your desired header/footer areas and then on the top right there should be something that says: "View Pre-Upgrade Global Header & Footer" next to an icon.
