Here's the code I'm using:

<title>Discusitol RX</title>
<meta name="description" content="The general forum/message board that actually cures boredom. Also home of the Discusitol Army, where we fight boredom, raid, and do extraordinary things for the lulz." />
<meta name="keywords" content="discusitol rx, boredom cure, internet army, Logheck, message board, forum, proboards, awesome, fun time, video games, classified information, music, movies, tv, ramble on, facebook, myspace, reddit, 4chan, eharmony, halo, xbox, iphone, droid, playstation" />
<meta name="robots" content="index, follow" />

</head>

My question is, can I add as many keywords as I want? The code generator limited me to 255 characters.

Sure you can, but in all honestly, meta tags aren't really that helpful now-a-days. I do like the description meta tag though as that is what shows when your site comes up in a search. That said, it doesn't hurt anything to have meta-tags.

Okay, thanks. I'll just periodically add any keyword that comes to mind. Would it be against ToS if I used body parts that aren't to be posted on PB? Just so the site pops up when people search those, it would be in the code so invisible.

I would say the answer is no, you should not use anything in the keywords/description that is against ProBoards TOS but if you want clarification from an administrator (red names) post your question in Support.

I'll post a thread tomorrow. I'm sure I can come up with plenty of clean meta tags until then. Google hasn't even been back by my forum since I submitted the url because I changed something in the title shortly after
