Profile Comments [library support]

Just wondering if there is a way for the profile comments to be permanent no matter whether the user changes the status...kind of like a visitor message or writing on someone's "wall"...this plugin is awesome and working great, by the way!

yep. there is a setting in the plugin settings you can uncheck that retains comments on status change. but realize that if someone is commenting on a current status and the owner changes, the comment might not make sense

I'm using this plugin to imitate the visitor messages function of other forums, however the one thing I haven't been able to imitate are the profile pictures next to the comments. So I thought I'd ask here if that's possible and if so, could you teach me how to do so.

It doesnt store them because they take up too much space.

well not the pics themselves, but the url to them takes characters. lets say someone had a 64 character length url to their avatar for some reason. and they were to post all 10 comments. that is now 640 characters out of 4000 that are dedicated to JUST storing avatar urls. and some urls are even longer then that.

unless you told them their avatar url was too long and direct them to imgur.

yeah if a rule was in place that urls all had to be from the same place it would be a valuable option

Is there a way to add a "comment" link that would show up on the Status Tracker sidebar? so that members could click it, and it would lead them to the OP's profile so they could comment on it.

I thought their name was clickable that takes the browser to the profile page?

It does, but a lot of my members are younger and do not know there are profile comments. I feel if there were a "comment' link somewhere underneath every status in the sidebar that it would be more obvious and would be used more.

I can probably get you a footer code for that. It doesnt really fit will with either plugin as an option. a footer code you can just paste into your site.
