Profile Comments [library support]

Hello,
I love this plugin and I love to use it on my forums, but there's only one problem that I've had with it and that is that some users aren't aware of when they get a new comment. Is there any way to get a notification when a new comment is made?

As it is pretty cool, It needs some tuning up. Maybe a entirely different reason to use it. It should have a option to just have comments on your profile, not just Status. And the member can disable comments/mute them/use BBCode (IDK aout the BBCode.) Also, apperiently, the comments do not use the @username feature, witch throws off other plugins and certain usernames with certain characters. I just think you should think about these and do a super update to it.

Most plugins that don't have anything to do with the posting page (such as this one) won't make any use of BBCode due to the fact that there's no way to easily include it.

You'd essentially need to remake the entire BBCode functionality of the forum from scratch. There's not only a ton of BBCode tags to be remade, but you'd also have to perform all the necessary checks to ensure there's both opening and closing tags for everything that requires them. It's a lot of work for very, very minimal benefit in return.

@ tagging is also a feature of BBCode and cannot be duplicated because the actual feature built into the posting page has the ability to obtain proper display names, versus a plugin which cannot do so automatically because it has no database access.

Hey worm, I know html works with this plugin in comments (which I love and want to keep) but is there a way that I can force it to make images only show up as a certain size. Like if they html code in <img src="image link"> then it'll grab that and make max-width:400px or whatever?

also...is there a way that I can set the height relative so it can just keep going on for eternity if it gets more content?

and can we move the comment box to the top and have things appear on the top instead of the bottom?

For the images, go to Admin > Themes > Style Sheet and scroll to the very bottom of it. Add this:

.feedbackstuff img{min-width: 400px;max-width: 400px;}

This will force all images to be 400 pixels and will allow the height to automatically adjust to accommodate the width without limit.

Would really love to keep the "Add Comment" section pinned to the top instead of at the bottom. Also would like to reverse the order of how it appears so newest comments appear at the top if at all possible.

There's a bug i noticed, everytime you get a comment, if you have the notifications in browser plugin it'll show 3 notifications for 1 comment, 6 for 2 comments and so forth

The red box is just what i did in photoshop to show you where the issue is lol. You see where it says comments under under the "badges here" thread name. That comments word is actually for the tip holder for when you hover over the notification bubble when you receive new comments. So when you receive a new comment, the number bubble pops up and when you hover over it it says "comments 1" but that comments word is also appearing under the thread name for some reason.

It would be easier to show you if you registered on my forum and i left you a comment. Then you can look into the code in the inspector.

The 'comment word' appears as soon as you get a profile comment and disappears once you've read your comment. And when you mouse over it, it does the same as moving the mouse over the bubble notification.

Well when I briefly looked at the code earlier, it was targetting a specific element with specific attributes, so Im have guessing that your cell over there has those attributes. I might have to make a test acct to see this.
