that end part needs clarification. you want the group to be controlled by how many points they have, but you want to be able to change what group they are in regardless of point count?

so lets say it take 1000 points to get into group "Omega"

you want to be able to arbitrarily put someone with only 7 points into group "Omega"?

I guess, the way id explain it is:

I go to the users profile, and i go to the groups section, and say they're in the group Alpha and you need 20 points to get to Beta, but i bypass that and put them in beta manually. I want the system to realize that, and clear their total points to zero and continue normally. Also, i want to make it so i can put groups in a list in the plugins settings that i don't want included in the system.

and they only earn points by staff manually changing the data right? I guess I dont see the need for the data field if you are just going to edit the group manually...

but anyways.. so lets say person has 18 points. they need 20 to get into group "Beta". staff comes along and edits the points box to be 21. the plugin will automatically change the group to Beta, and set the points back to 0 (or would it be 1 since they had 21).

No, the reason i need that manual changes thing is incase an old member say, quits, and he deletes his account, and when he comes back we give him his rank back. Also, i like the thing where you said it resets it to one, what i would like it to do is not change the value, but to add or subtract points, and say the user has 18 points, you need 20 to get to beta, an admin comes along and says, Hmmmm...... This user has been doing good recently, im gonna give him 4 xp points . They give them four and it amounts to 22 points, the plugin puts them in beta, and then subtracts 20 points from their total value (or the amount they need to get for the next group from the total) Now, is what redbasset said true, or will this be possible?
