Group ranking plugin.......

Well, i want a plugin that bases which group you're in on a ranking program...... I want the ranks/groups controlled by a XP system. I want a button on a users profile that specified groups can see and click it to open an option to give/take xp from that user. I want to be able to specify how much xp you need before moving up to the next group, and specify what the next group is. Also, i want this to be compatible with changing the users group without giving the user xp.

It is not possible to modify member groups via a plugin. Member groups must be manually assigned by a staff member with the correct permissions. Cannot member ranks be used for this?

No, thats by post count..... Also, soz i didnt know ill make sure to follow that rule..... Maybe i should make this suggestion as a feature request too c:

its basically a field in the profile/mini-profile that contains points right?

well I was going to say a simple footer code could just convert custom field entry into a group display, but then you made it more complicated with the "change group without affecting points" clause

If that wouldn't work i understand and i would only need that in rare cases, so i can deal without it, but i will need to be able to put people in groups unrelated to the ranking system, like mod and admin without it affecting the system.....

oh THOSE groups.. I thought you meant the groups defined by the point system...

There isn't one Thats what i need, something that controls them using one, and the initial point system

let me rephrase. you will need to make a custom profile field. it will be staff edit only. the staff can add and subtract as many points as they want when they edit a profile. the footer code will display whatever ranking system that corresponds to that particular postcount.

what are you going to call the custom profile field?

I dont want it on post count, also i want the ranks to be groups. Excuse me and my knowledge of all this im a total noob with it.....

Ok, but with the footer i want the group system as the system, but using the XP system to decide when someone moves up to the next group.
