Different tags?

Hello, First of all I don't know if tags is a suitable name or not, but its the only one i could think of.
I am wondering if it is possible to have a plugin or some kind of code that let me put different 'tags' onto different members of my forum.
For example, (as my forum is to do with construction), is it possible for me to be able to put different 'tags' onto members for such things as plumber, carpentry etc. (I would need quite a few)
I would also wish that it was only me that could edit the 'tags'.

Try checking out custom profile fields (Admin Area > Members > Custom Profile Fields). Name your custom field, set it's type to 'Drop Down Selection', then click View/Edit. From this dialog, you can add as many different options as you want (plumber, carpentry, drywall, etc.). Set the 'Who Can Edit' to 'Staff With Power', and only staff members with the appropriate power will be able to change these fields. Now to tag anyone, simply go and edit their custom field in their edit profile sections, and it'll show up in their mini-profile.
