Change Folders?

Not sure if this would be a "plugin" request per say.  I was wondering if there'd be any way to create a mod that would make the "folder image" of a post, show up as the picture inside the post?

then give this plugin a try Thread Image.pbp and let me know if you encounter any problems or have a suggestion on improving.

Here's something I've noticed. I've got a custom folder image set for the posts when I lock them. Is there a way I can keep that? Maybe showing up as an overlay like with "keep old icon" option?

Also, the images don't show up unless the page is refreshed. If I'm on page 1 and click page 2 none of the images will show up until I hit "refresh".

Although that is possible it is also against the rules. The plugin would have to send extra requests to the server in order to "see" what is inside those older threads which is a big no-no, this is why the image is determined while creating the thread or modifying the first post of the thread. The option to "use first image" is there for when the poster forgets to designate an image but that is only possible when the contents of the post is known (i.e while editing)

That is the intended purpose of that "keep old icon" option, it keeps the old icon around since it may convey information that the new image would not, as in your case a locked thread


If that is not what is occurring when you enable that option then if that is a plugin adding that custom image for you make sure it is running before the thread image plugin so that image is there by the time the thread image plugin sees it. If it is being added through CSS or other means then I'll need a forum url in order to assess the situation.

I always forget pagination when creating plugins on a test forum that has only 1 thread that actually goes to page 2. I'll add it in once the other issues you mentioned have been addressed since they themselves may need edits as well. I've updated to version 0.0.2 with the addition of pagination and also slightly modified a selector to [title^="Thread"] instead of [title="Thread"] which should now catch locked threads. Please download again from same link and let me know if that addresses your issues

Do you think it would be possible to change individual BOARD folders?

There's already a plugin for that, those board icons are usually referred to as on/off icons so look for something with "on/off" in the name

Wouldn't that change every boards folder to the same image? Oops nvm, I didn't read that properly *blushes*.  Thanks
