Plugin to tag a 'group' from the post request

Would it be possible to tag a 'group' to a particular post?  Rather than individually use the @tagfeature to find and drop in the message box each name you're looking to tag, have the ability somewhere in the tool icon -- the ability to select a particular group created ... so that you can tag them all to a particular post. Running sports leagues, I often find it 'most useful' to have this ability to tag 'said group' to these important posts. I know I can PM them the link, but it be a step less and much easier, quite frankly, to do it from the post.  Looking to see if this could be made into a plug .. .or, maybe a temp mod.

The very short answer is that a plugin that does this is not feasibly possible, currently. My apologies on that. Some good news, though - we have this concept sitting cozy in our list of v5.x features for future updates. I think it's safe to say that at some point you can expect to see this one (or something similar) from us.

The x is a version number. we are in v5, and tbe x is just an update to software thsts been made many times

Sorry for the lack of response M³, I was on my weekend.

I'm not aware of any date projections for future version updates to v5, M³, but rest assured that you'll know when we announce it.

Ha, good stuff, David Clark. No worries on the late response. I figured as much. Looking forward to whenever this update releases.
