Custom Profile Fields on New - Not sure how to work this

Not sure if I post this here or not. If not I'm sorry. I'm just really confused with this new stuff.


I'm not sure how to set this thing up.
I wanted it so when a member joins their  app will be in a new tab in their profile area.
I just wanted the app on the short side.

oh right I wanted the custom field plugin in to be a mini application on the new tab that shows on the profile

but i'm not sure how that works

so they click something in the custom field area, and it brings up an application they fill out, and it saves it and displays it on a new tab?

I added in the plugin in changed the name to application for the tab and then I couldn't figure out the rest of it.

right so now create a bunch of custom profile fields for each entry you want them to fill out. set all of those new fields to be shown on profile only.

then in the plugin, just edit the area it provides like you would a forum template. the default is just an example for you to see how things work.

OK how do I create the custom fields to show up in the profile only?

its a setting on the custom field when you create it.
