Ok, If i say something it's because I've tested it and didn't need to waste time on posting and asking for help through private messages. I like proboards i really do. Now check my forum and test it yourself. See that it causes errors and looks awkward... gamersunitycommunity.proboards.com/If you already did the leg work then sharing what you discovered would help. I have no knowledge of your forum and probably nobody knows it better than you so listing problems encountered with Google would be a wiser, time-saving move than me skipping around looking for the yellow brick road. Those who do not know the past are doomed to repeat it which is why I am insisting on knowing. You asked for my help in the middle of an ongoing request so I obviously need to be brought up to speed, not given the " on a need to know basis" treatment because frankly I need to know. In my opinion building a plugin that does what Google already does far more efficiently makes no sense. Instead of trying to build a shorter mountain if the mountain Google gave you is too tall the smarter move would be to try and shave some off the top of that mountain. It would be far easier to shave the mountain down rather than exert energy trying to build a miniMe version of it. Also i want the forum in Spanish not the content we type in. And google translate translates everything... Preventing content translation would be as easy as going into your templates and adding a class that tells Google to skip that element (part of that shave the mountain approach I spoke of ?)

Let me make something vary clear! I honestly don't know what I even have on my own forum. Only know that the plugins work and the forum itself. Meaning you insinst on something I have no knowledge... Besides what can only be seen. You are the programmer and dwell inside things i can't comprehend.. And frankly i sent you the private convo with everything to be known... Thanks to Stinky showed me something new to me. Here's a punch 1st Image it moves the edit options on shoutbox 2nd doesent translates everything 3rd is the same as second 4th I am clueless why i added this image. Disregard this one 5th This is a perfect example what it does to the plugins...

The answers are there all you need to do is read then take action If something is unclear then ask for clarification - The code Google gives you after you've configured your site translator comes in two parts
- Both parts can go into your Forum Wrapper Layout Template
The top goes above the </head>
- This part of the code which is bunched in with the bottom part
<div id="google_translate_element"></div> is where the translation selector appears and does not need to be with the bottom part of the code. You can move it anywhere you wish. For example, I wanted it up where the Home, Admin, etc. menus are so I added it there in forum wrapper by providing an addition set of <li></li> then dropping it in there
- It is important that the bottom part of the code goes at the very bottom of the forum wrapper so it runs after everything else, the button part (see 3) can go anywhere you wish
You'll also notice that certain elements that have the new html5 placeholder attribute (which disappears once you click on the element) additional code has been added to allow those to be translated as well. The purple indicates lines that were added to the bottom part of the code Google gave you
- If you do not wish contents written by your members to be translated then go into your threads layout template and on the post list tab add the "skiptranslate" class to the <tr> element. Do the same for conversations
- You can do the same for anything you do not want translated. For example to protect the shoutbox ban/edit/date details go into your shoutbox template layout and add the "skiptranslate" class
