Hello!
I was pointed in this direction when asking about this, so here we go! The board I am a member on was using a code that adjusted the member count. This code is incompatible with v5 and we would like to be able to use something similar, as we don't delete accounts but still want our member totals to reflect actual active accounts and not just inactive ones.
If anyone can help me out with adjusting the info center totals so that we can do this I would be grateful!
Thank you!

You could remove the variable $[total_members] and put in a static number. So, for example, in my Home Template in my admin dashboard, it says <tr><td><center>There are $[total_members] accounts</center></td></tr> I could change that to: <tr><td><center>There are 15 accounts</center></td></tr> You'll have to go in and manually change this number whenever you want it changed and you can always revert back by simply re-adding the total_members variable.
