a simple text box

i'm looking for a text box that's very simple. i've found ones using google search but there's always something i don't like about them. for example the ones where the scroll bar doesn't go with my theme, it's just the basic silver and white scroll bar as is on any internet browser. or i can't adjust the size. also i want one where i can insert codes.

basically i'm looking for a text box that meets all of these requirements:

• size can be adjusted but doesn't stretch on its own
  
• scroll bar matches my theme or can be personally adjusted by me if not automatic
  
• allows basic coding (bold, italic, etc)

that's really all i can think of hah i don't think i'm asking for much so please someone tell me you've got what i'm looking for?!

Where are you wanting to place this text box? Headers/Footers? Into a Sidebar-type plugin? etc. I don't know the answer, I just figured that information would help others to help you. =)

i'd like something i can move around but for the moment i'm just looking for something to do where it is currently on "shadows on the island" (linked in my signature)

Where on Shadows on the Island? A text box is an extremely vague term, you need to clarify

The first thing we need to know is if this will be for in your posts or just on your forum like in your headers or sidebar, etc.
Scroll bar colors are are difficult since I believe IE stopped supporting them. You can use webkit in Chrome but as far as I know, it works in no other browsers. There are some more complex codes you can download for scroll bar styling but I couldn't include them in what you are requesting here.
As far as inserting codes, do you mean like adding widgets or do you mean you want your code to actually show like this:
