When exporting themes into the library, I noticed all my returns in the Theme Description was removed when it was accepted. Is this because I didn't add <br>'s? If I add <br>'s, <a href="link">, and <b> codes into my Theme Description, will they work?

Hi, @khristian. Tim Camara does most of the management of the Theme/Plugin Libraries. I've tagged him and labeled this thread for dev attention so he can give you some insight in regards to why that happens.

Mine don't either, nor does anyone's as of late. I did report it, and David Clark did confirm that it seems to be the case that Plugins are working perfectly fine, but for Themes, they do not. I even showed examples of how exactly I have one set out in the theme settings, then how it displays in the live description.

Will the HTML codes work or not? I understand that it isn't working right now, what I would like to know is what can I do about it now? I want to submit a new version of my themes but I don't want to have to do it again later to fix the Theme Descriptions.

I was never told I could do it when I mentioned it. David told me to try make new lines break by using forward slashes: Line 1 blah blah /// this is where line 2 starts rawr /// and line 3 Temporarily ^ Or, unfortunately, just keep it as it is until it is fixed - assuming it gets fixed

HTML line breaks will not make a difference, but you shouldn't have to enter them. That's why I tagged Tim.

Okay, disregarding line breaks for the moment. How about linking and bolding text? <b> or ?

As I also mentioned though, they work for plugins, not themes

Well, I highly suggest adding UBBC coding to the Theme Descriptions for the future. It would make things A LOT neater.

I've labeled the thread as a feature request as well.
Should it be accepted, I suspect you'd be allowed light BBCode at the most, like in the news feed and shoutbox areas. This would be limited to the bare essential text formatting tags (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript, subscript, links).

There's a fix in the works for the line break issue. It's not plugins vs. themes, as some themes have line breaks working, and some plugins don't.
