I'm confused, because Threads and Posts are on the main page only, and then Replies and Views are on the thread list only. Yet you want all 4 in one column, in the thread list?
Nope ..
So Threads and Posts on the main page combined into 1 cell and then Replies and Views on the Thread List combined into 1 cell
Sorry didnt explain it clear enough
Ok that makes much more sense
Thanks for clarifying.
This will be based off a brand new default v5 theme, so if you have any previous modifications to your layout templates, your stuff could be on different line numbers. If they are, just use ctrl+f to search for them.
We will start with doing the Thread List first, simply because "Board" is the first option of the tabs.
Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > BoardOn lines 33 and 34 you should see:
<th class="replies">Replies</th>
<th class="views">Views</th>
Replace that with:
<th class="replies">
Statistics</th>
<!--<th class="views">Views</th>
-->What you have done, is replaced the word "Replies" with "Statistics", and then commented out the "Views" head column, by adding <!-- and -->
Now click the tab for
Thread List and go to lines 18 and 19, where you should see:
<td class="replies clickable">$[thread.replies]</td>
<td class="views">$[thread.views]</td>
First, copy the following part to your clipboard: $[thread.views]
Now, on the bottom of the above two lines, add <!-- and --> to it like we previously did.
<!--<td class="views">$[thread.views]</td>-->
Now, with $[thread.views] on your clipboard, paste it just after the $[thread.replies] section, so the first line becomes:
<td class="replies clickable">$[thread.replies]
$[thread.views]</td>
Now we will do the finishing touches.
Add
{if $[thread.num_posts] == 2}reply{else}replies{/if}<br /> after
$[thread.replies] and add
view{if $[thread.views] != 1}s{/if} after the variable $[thread.views]
So now your lines 18 and 19 should be looking like this:
<td class="replies clickable">$[thread.replies] {if $[thread.num_posts] == 2}reply{else}replies{/if}<br />$[thread.views] view{if $[thread.views] != 1}s{/if}</td>
<!--<td class="views">$[thread.views]</td>-->
We're basically going to do similar for the Board List.
Click the tab for
Board List. Line 6 replace the word "Threads" with "Statistics" and then add <!-- and --> to line 7:
<th class="threads">Threads</th>
<th class="posts">Posts</th>
The above is what you should see, and below is what to change to:
<th class="threads">
Statistics</th>
<!--<th class="posts">Posts</th>
-->Now scroll down to lines 33 and 34 where you will see:
<td class="threads">{if $[board.threads] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.threads]{/if}</td>
<td class="posts">{if $[board.posts] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.posts]{/if}</td>
Copy the following part to your clipboard:
{if $[board.posts] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.posts]{/if}Add <!-- and --> to the second line (line 34). Then, just before the </td> on line 33, make a new line. Add <br /> and then paste the bit from your clipboard to the new line.
This is what you should have at this point:
<td class="threads">{if $[board.threads] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.threads]{/if}
<br />{if $[board.posts] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.posts]{/if}</td>
<!--<td class="posts">{if $[board.posts] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.posts]{/if}</td>-->
All there is to do now, is add the words thread + post, then pluralize them.
Add in the blue parts below:
<td class="threads">{if $[board.threads] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.threads]
thread{if $[board.threads] != 1}s{/if}{/if}
<br />{if $[board.posts] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.posts]
post{if $[board.posts] != 1}s{/if}{/if}</td>
<!--<td class="posts">{if $[board.posts] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.posts]{/if}</td>-->
And that's it. All done.
I tried to walk you through it, so that you know what you're doing rather than just saying "replace this portion with this" etc. It's better for learning.
