Hashtag in Posts [library support]

You are basically after a hashcloud (or whatever they are called). In order to pull that off, I would have to add a super key to the plugin. And what ranks them? Simply clicking the tag or posting it in the first place?

It would have to be a companion plugin. Im not going to add a super key to a plugin that was supposed to be simple. not everybody would want a hashcloud

I can do it with a forum key, but I need the search server stuff to get worked out first.  too many people are getting the glitch where it doesnt get indexed right away.  but what I forsee is keeping a list of the top 25 or so hashes used, then putting them in order somewhere.  clicking one would be same as clicking the tag itself and it returns all the indexed posts with that tag.  however since I dont want to add a super key to this plugin itself, its going to have to be a companion.  that way if people WANT the cloud effect, they can choose to use one of their super key slots for it, without it alienating people who dont.

Every once and a-while, when I add # and something after it, it turns into [HASH] in the actual post.

Like so:

thats what its supposed to do when you submit, is convert all the # into [HASH]

because then when the post displays, it looks for [HASH] and converts it back to # and combines it with the word immediately following it into the link

are you saying when the post displays it doesnt convert it back?

Yes, it does not convert back. Just stays as is.
